Humans of Keyforge - Kokujin & Snek

Kokujin (also known as Jovi) is a KeyForge lover, just like the rest of us. He is also a marine, and the responsibility that comes with that role keeps him extremely busy. Over the past year, he has had very little time to attend KeyForge events.

He did manage to make it to KFC 2025. One night, well past midnight, I was walking around the DoubleTree hall. As always, there were still a few people playing KeyForge. Among them was Kokujin, sitting across from another player—Snek. I do not remember every detail of that moment, but it felt like they spent countless hours simply playing KeyForge together throughout the event.

Kokujin is also part of Reapout. At one point, the rest of the group went out to watch a hockey game (or some other sport—I cannot quite remember). Kokujin stayed behind.

“Snek is my childhood friend, and my best friend. Now that I am a marine and live far away, I would rather spend the time I have playing KeyForge with him.” - He said.

Humans of KeyForge is a series of short, random stories about KeyForge players I have met. Most of these moments are small things I notice during our time together. There may be no larger purpose behind sharing them—but hopefully, they bring a bit of joy to the reader.
